2022 / 2023 CONCERT SERIES

The Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Orchestra is comprised of a core of professional musicians, semi-professionals from our community, and highly-skilled music students. Together, we share a love of music and a commitment to excellence in performance.

All of our concerts take place in the beautiful sanctuary of Knox Presbyterian Church, 50 Erb Street West, Waterloo. The facilities are fully wheelchair accessible with lots of free parking. Click Here for a map.

Tickets are available in advance at Words Worth Books in Waterloo, cash only at the door, or online from Ticketscene.ca. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors (60+), full time students (including post-secondary) are $5, and children under 10 are free.

We begin our 38th season with something for everyone! Music by Schumann, Cimarosa, Saint-Saens and Bloomfield with special guest appearances by the Urban Sketchers of Waterloo Region!

The Expanding Canon

We offered a taste of this astounding piece in 2019; now we welcome back Guy Few to present the complete work: the world-premiere performance of Boyd McDonald‘s Trumpet & Piano Concerto. Wagner‘s Siegfried Idyll and Symphony #2 by Louise Farrenc complete our program.

The Heart That Dances

After a year of anticipation, we can finally share our stage with the beautiful dancers from Carousel Dance Company. This concert will include lovely works by Fauré and Honegger, a new composition by our very own Matthew Donnelly and Mozart‘s famous Symphony #40.

Winners’ Showcase

We are finally able to celebrate our talented student concerto competition winners! Also on the program is Haydn’s 75th Symphony. Don’t forget your non-perishable donations for the Food Bank of Waterloo Region, and the food banks of Laurier and uWaterloo.

Melodious Spring

Our final concert will include Early Hungarian Dances by Ferenc Farkas, and we will complete our season with Symphony #5 by Franz Schubert. Please join us!
