Sarah can be found performing with ensembles throughout Southern Ontario. She performs regularly with the Stratford Symphony, the KW Chamber Orchestra, and Spiritus Ensemble. She has also performed with the KW Symphony, Open Ears Festival, Elora Festival Singers, Da Capo Chamber Choir, Niagara Symphony, and the Jeans ‘n Classics Orchestra. Solo performances include Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante with the Stratford Symphony, Applebaum’s Five Snapshots with the KW Chamber Orchestra, and Vaughan Williams’ Oboe Concerto with the Kamloops Symphony.
Sarah Cardwell holds a Master of Music degree from the University of British Columbia. She also studied at the Vancouver Academy of Music and McGill University. Her oboe teachers include Beth Orson, Roger Cole, Normand Forget, Richard Killmer, and Cheryl Bishkoff. Sarah was as a member of the National Youth Orchestra and has participated in festivals at the Banff Centre for the Arts, Domaine Forget, Bowdoin Summer Music Festival and the Chautauqua Institute.
Sarah maintains a private studio in Kitchener.
